4″ Female NPT Fill Valve is an internally mounted check-type fill valve, capable of flowing at a rate up to 1,000 GPM with a 4″ FNPT connection. Ideal for engines and tankers, opens at approximately 6psi.
Fill valves are also available in a 3” male NPT connection (500115M) and 3” victaulic (500115V) connection for ease of installation.
The Fill Valve is self-deflecting, requiring no additional diffusion device. The Fill Valve is constructed of 100% stainless steel avoiding the use of dissimilar metals. The spring-actuated piston-type sealing mechanism minimizes seal wear and provides positive sealing of the valve after shutting off the valve at the feed source. The device is designed to be self-cleaning utilizing a replaceable EPDM rubber gasket. Less than 6psi is required to open the valve.
Major U.S. fire apparatus poly tank manufacturers have the cutout for this fill valve and can design the tank wall with tapped holes for ease of installation.
Utilizing our optional stainless steel internal tank mounting plate, the Fill Valve mechanism can be attached directly through an existing tank wall.
